Paddington Bear is the famous character featured in more than 20 books written by Michael Bond.  The very first Paddington Bear soft toy was made in the seventies by Shirley Clarkson for her children Joanna and Jeremy Clarkson (from Top Gear) and she then started selling them through her own company called Gabrielle Designs.

This is a lovely big Paddington Bear made from soft and cuddly plush fur.  He is wearing his trademark blue duffle coat, with wooden toggle buttons, red felt hat and red wellington boots and Paddington carries his small, personalised suitcase that he brought with him on his long voyage from darkest Peru.  He has the famous luggage tag label around his neck, when he was found by the Brown family at Paddington station saying 'PLEASE LOOK AFTER THIS BEAR. THANK YOU'
