'A Paper Teddy Bear?!' we hear you cry. Yes! After the end of World War I Steiff was struggling for supply of wool and other bear materials, so had to innovate to continue producing bears. From 1919 to 1921 they used a clever paper-based material to make bears. A replica paper bear was released as a Steiff club exclusive in 2010 and now there's a paper bear available to all!
Paper Teddy Bear is snow white, with matching paw pads. He is fully jointed, with a loosely jointed head which gives him plenty of expression. His nose and claws are hand-stitched.
Delivered in a Steiff box with numbered certificate of authenticity and bearing the Steiff gold-plated button in ear with special elephant motif for 2014.
