The teddy bears and animals from the Steiff Replica series are very special, as they have re-created bears that they have made in the past, using historic patterns and tools and so have been reproduced exactly according to their role models from the Steiff archieves. All Steiff replicas have the famous "Button in Ear" indicating the year in which they were made and from Spring 2017 onwards, they have had replica ear tags as well. From this time, the white tag with red lettering will be sewn into the side seam of the bear as well and will contain the article and limited edition number.

Limited Edition of 906
Another great Replica bear, going right back to the age of the very first bears made by Richard Steiff, well over 100 years ago. It has excelsior stuffing, wooden eyes and the fur has been aged, along with the pads, which have some holes, making you think that this really is an original old bear.
At this early stage in the life of the teddy, some of the bears were given a squeaker, just like this one has, as growlers weren't introduced until 1908.
The head and limbs are loosely attached, adding to his charm and character.
He wears a period correct ear tag, with an underscored button made of patinated steel and in addition to this, he also has the white replica label attached to his side.
He has a low limitation of only 906, so definately one to consider adding to your collection.
