GERMAN SHEPHERD (ALSATIAN) SOFT TOY DOG BY FAITHFUL FRIENDS

Size: 17cm (6.5")

There are various theories regarding the origin of the German Shepherd. Some believe that the breed was the result of crossing between the various breeds of sheepdog which existed in Germany.

Despite the debate on its origin, we do know that the German Shepherd was established in Germany between 1880 & 1890.

They first arrived in Britain after the 1914-1918 war.

The German Shepherd was initially used as a farm dog. Their intelligence, enthusiasm and character eventually made them an outstanding dog to be used in times of war, as a rescue dog, police dog and unbeatable guard dog.

German Shepherds (Alsatians) are strong, intelligent dogs, once bred for working, but they make wonderful pets.

This realistic, soft toy German Shepherd dog has been cleverly designed to capture the spirit and colours of the pet. He has a cuddly coat of soft plush fur in mainly light tan, with black markings on his face, back, muzzle and ears.

He's very obedient and will 'SIT' for hours! (helped by the beans in his bottom, which also give a weighted feel).

Hand wash only.

Suitable from 2 years of age and up
