Tchaikovsky's famous Nutcracker Suite opens with the "Ouverture miniature" and Steiff have created their annual winter ornament as a miniature version of The Mouse King, from The Nutcracker. He is made from high quality white alpaca fur and wears a midnight blue royal cloak with lurex and fur, topped with golden colours and intricate paintwork, plus a little gold crown. With jointed arms and head, the mouse king is moveable - but never loses his royal composure.
