SHIBA INU SOFT TOY DOG BY FAITHFUL FRIENDS
Size: 30.5cm (12")
The SHIBA-INU was originally bred to flush to flush small birds and game and was occasionally used to hunt wild boar. They are the smallest and most ancient of Japan's six native breeds and today they are mainly companion dogs. The breed nearly perished in World War II, so after the war, Shibas were brought from the remote countryside and breeding programmes were established. The remaining population were interbred to produce the Shiba as he is known today. An American service family imported the first Shiba-Inu into the USA in 1954 and the first US litter was born in 1979.
"SHIBA" means "brushwood" (referring to the brush in the mountains, or to the dogs reddish colour) and "INU" means "dog".
SHIBA-INU'S have a bold, confident personality, are keen, alert and intelligent, but they can be a bit stubborn and hard to train......but don't worry, ours are all fully trained, so you can just enjoy plenty of fun, with this good-natured soft toy dog!!
Shibas have a thick double coat, which gives a teddy bear look, which is adorable!!
This realistic, soft toy SHIBA-INU has lovely soft plush fur in orangy/red, with cream markings, small pointed, upright ears, dark eyes and a curly tail......making the perfect companion for anyone!!
It has beans in it's bottom to give a little weight and will "SIT" nicely!
Hand wash only.
