The press called her \"The Love Goddess\", after she became the most glamourous screen idol of the 1940's and she was the top pin-up girl for the GI's during world war II. Fred Astaire said she \"danced with trained perfection and individuality\" and she was his favourite dance partner. In 1980 she was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease, which contributed to her death at the top age of 68. The public disclosure and discussion of her illness drew attention to Altzeimers disease, which was little known at the time and it helped to greatly increase funding for research.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eRITA (along with GRETA) is the biggest bear in the 2020 Isabelle Collection, which is quite apt, as her namesake was a big star. She has lovely long, wavy ginger and cream fur, a two-tone nose and alluring eyes.
