The Beagle type dog has existed now for 2500 years, although the modern breed was developed in Britain around the 1830's from several breeds.
Beagles are a very intelligent dog and have a great sense of smell and tracking instict. It is these traits that sees them employed as detection dogs all over the world.
The Beagle is loving, gentle and always happy to see everyone - greeting them with a wagging tail.
This realistic soft toy Beagle has soft, dense, plush fur, in the popular tricolours of black, white and tan. It has the typical long, rounded ears, which hang down past it's cheeks and dark eyes that have an appealing expression.
It has beans in it's bottom to give a little weight and will "SIT" nicely!
