Ted Astaire is part of The Leading Lights Series, which was launched in the 2017 Isabelle Collection. 
This bear is named after Fred Astaire, who was an American dancer, singer, actor, choreographer and television presenter. He is widely considered the most influential dancer in the history of film. He first entered show business at the age of 5 and his career spanned 76 years and he died in 1987, aged 88.  As a dancer, his most outstanding traits were his uncanny rhythm, his perfectionism and his innovation. His most memorable partner was Ginger Rogers, with whom he co-starred in a series of 10 Hollywood musicals.
It only seems apt that the colouring on Ted Astaire should be in tribute to her, so he has a fabulous coat of wavy "ginger" and brown fur! He has a lighter muzzle to show his appealing eyes and big nose and he wears a jingly bell collar. He has some lighter fur on his feet, which is thick and dense and this is also inbetween his pads and paws, which is unusual, but also helps to highlight them, as his feet should be a big feature..... because he is a dancing bear!!
